8 year old Indian Girl wins World KickBoxing Gold

A dream doesn't become a reality through magic, it takes sweat, determination and hardwork.

This is what Tajamul Islam, the 8 year old girl from Kashmir, proved after she won gold at the World Kickboxing Championship in sub-junior category, in Italy.

Tajamul hails from Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir.

She scripted history and made India proud by clinching the gold medal.

A competition which had participants from 90 countries was not easy. But through the help of her coach and her hard-work she achieved this feat.

Master Fasil Ali, the coach in an interview said, she participated in the world event with support from Kickboxing Federation of India.

"It was a 5 day world-championship in Italy." , he said.

Tajamul grabbed the eyeballs after  winning 6 games in 5 days. She defeated her rival from United States to become the World Champion. She is also youngest ever to win gold in her category.

After winning the gold she said, "I want to thank all the people who supported me, feeling proud that I won gold for India."

It's always a delight to see our country doing wonders in other sports other than cricket.
