Harry Kane signs contract extension with Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur has announced today that the striker Harry Kane has signed an extension that will keep him at the club till 2022.
Harry Kane put to bed all the speculations around him after putting pen to paper today. It was rumored that Manchester United are interested in bringing the striker to Old Trafford to polish their attack.
The 23 year old striker made his Premier league debut in 2012 for Tottenham against Newcastle United but he hogged the limelight in 2014/15 season. when he finished the Premier League season with 21 goals. He was the 2nd top scorer in that season, only behind Sergio Aguero. In the following season Kane bettered his record as he notched 25 goals in the Premier League and ended as the top scorer. His efforts made Tottenham a genuine title challengers. Tottenham only managed to finish 3rd behind champions Leicester and North London rivals Arsenal.
Kane was linked with several clubs in 2015 as he was growing in stature in Football world. Tottenham were keen to keep him for long and this is his third renewal of contract. The improvements he has shown has over the years has made him a key figure in Tottenham and England attack.
As Kane is now tied with the club for another 5 and half years, Tottenham can now enjoy his stay and get benefit from his services
He has scored 6 goals in 10 appearances in all competitions this season.
